Where were you in your fitness journey before BSC and where are you now?

had to pause and think about this question. I've always liked the sports, especially team sports such as soccer and hockey. I haven't done much in terms of individual weightlifting Sports though. And prior to my starting point with BSC last year, I was just trying to exercise every day and stay fit, not necessarily losing weight. At that time, I could run a few miles without stopping. I liked my physical appearance at that time as well but now, I love myself because I feel a stronger, skinnier and happier. I keep going…

What were your goals when you started, and have you achieved any of them?

Surprisingly, I didn't any goals for myself because I wanted to exercise and feel better.  So, I have a goal for every day to feel great, show up at the practice and do my best or Rx.  Have I accomplished this? Absolutely. I like what I do in classes.  I want to encourage myself and others every time I'm at the gym to get better every day.

What about BSC makes you keep coming back?

I like how I feel after I'm done with a practice, especially when I see improvements with my personal results.  I also like an atmosphere we have at the gym because people who come to practices are helpful and encouraging.  It's always nice to see the same people when I come to a practice.

When/what was your "ah ha!" moment?

CrossFit movements require coordination and timing. When the brain and body finally sync up, it feels like a breakthrough. For me it was when I could complete deadlift with over 230lbs.  That was the “aha”—the body got it.

Does anyone at the gym (member or trainer) inspire you and why?

Over the past year and a half, I have observed several pregnant women who continued to work out a few days a week, which was quite impressive. Natasha Pavlova, a friend who encouraged me to start CrossFit, has shown remarkable transformation in her physique. She can now do multiple pull-ups, whereas a few years ago she couldn't do one. Natasha works out 4 to 5 times a week, serving as a significant inspiration to me.
