Congratulations to our August 2025 Athlete of the Month, Priya Rajasekaran!
Where were you in your fitness journey before BSC and where are you now?
Before BSC, I had not done anything beyond regular walks and had never been to any gym or even lifted a barbell before. Since I joined, I feel stronger than I ever did and am now able to lift both my kids together.
What were your goals when you started, and have you achieved any of them?
I wanted to work on my physical health after my second pregnancy, but I was not sure where to begin. Thanks to my husband, who signed up for the free trial class to see if I would be interested. I loved the trial class and decided to join BSC as there will be coaches in each class, where I can properly learn to do workouts and use equipment without worrying about injuring myself. Now, for the first time in my life, I feel stronger. My goal now is to improve myself a little every week compared to the week before.
What about BSC makes you keep coming back?
Of course, the community. People around here are positive, motivated, and especially kind, and I hope someday my consistency may help inspire my kids to care for their physical health as they grow up.
When/what was your "ah ha!" moment?
I am not able to point to just one, as I feel that every week, when I could do something I have never done before.
Does anyone at the gym (member or trainer) inspire you and why?
I can say that every athlete here inspires me to improve myself in different movements and workouts, and definitely, coaches who always push me to try a little more in every workout.
