Wishing on a WOD
Every year, Beaverton CrossFit hosts its annual Wishing on a WOD event to benefit the Make a Wish of Oregon’s Season of Wishes. Make-A-Wish® Oregon grants the wishes of children with life-threatening medical conditions to enrich the human experience with hope, strength, and joy. The chapter grants about 180 wishes each year with the help of volunteer wish granters throughout the region. Wishes generally fall into four categories, I wish to go, I wish to be, I wish to meet or I wish to have. Regardless of the wish, every effort is made to make this heartfelt wish possible for kids at a time when they need it most.
This event involves sweat, tears and a sense of pride and love that is only achieved from coming together to support the children in our community. This is a way to get the whole family involved from Mom and Dad, Grandpa and Grandma, Aunts and Uncles and especially the kids! We have heats and workouts for adults and children and you can get your family to sponsor you per rounds completed!
We invite anyone who would like to make a donation to the Make a Wish of Oregon to do so. You can online at:
